YEAH

Back in the + side in the STARS vs Dead Wings “bet”. STARS won SA splitting the games with the Dead Wings (had to say it splitting the series to keep the frozen brain in MI quieter).  STARS have 10 of the next 13 games at home so lots more hockey.  Have a game tonight as that keeps lots of people off the roads/out of bars (at least til later) NY eve.  It is tuff having 5 days off each week instead of the normal 4.  Off to take a nap so I can stay up later tonight.

Hockey

This last week was 6 hockey games. 3 STARS, 3Americans.  Hockeyed out. Now for a rest until NewYears Eve.  Getting to be winter in TX. Temps in the 30-40’s.  Work as usual and nothing new.  Vet had me check Dust Bunny for hypertension.  Fun procedure and she handled it well and no problems.  Vet said Dust Bunny must have thought her owner had lost his marbles-correct diagnosis.

Thanksgiving

Another fun Thanksgiving at the Monestary with Chip aka Dee.  Lots of food, ice cream, apple pie but NO rhubarb this year BOOOOO.  Picked up stuff from the store etc.  Trip back was eventful.  IH 40 one lane closed both ways around Schreveport with 5 mile back up.  3 accidents from there to Dallas but traffic was moving so not too bad.  Worst trip back.  Dust Bunny was happy to see me.  One of the seals on the windshield came loose - made a weird noise so I duck-taped to get back.  On to the Ford dealer in the morning.  Calling in an excuse I have never heard before in all my years.  Other than that no problems.

BRRRRRRRRRR

Cold rain and maybe snow flurries.  Did not ride  - too cold.  STARS are doing OK could be better but fun to watch.  Allen Americans are off to a really bad start.  I think have  only won one game.  Off to  STARS game tonight.  Cancelled the Veterans Day Parade raining.  Normally a bunch of us ride tot the parade, watch and then go to a free lunch at one of the restaurants that give free food to veterans.  Getting ready for GA next week

Not much new

Has stopped raining until WE when a little more is coming. STARS lost 4 in a row so the $ headed to MI.  Only saving more $ going north is DEAD WINGS keep losing.  2 STARS games this week then on the road.  The Allen team is not doing well this year so far, hoping for the best.  Off to vote this am.  All for now

More Rain

I wish it would stop.  Rained SA,SU,MO,TU forecast.  Creeks really high and no bike riding.  Hockey has been fun as the STARS are 3:1.  Road games tonight and tomorrow and we’ll see how those go.  Have had sold out arena but not attended out arena but good to see the people attending.  Back to work tomorrow. Wet

Wettest Sep. in history.  Had approx. 7 in of rain in 24 hrs.  So no riding bicycles - needed a boat.  Saw dermatologist this am and used liquid N2 to freeze a couple of “ things” off. Good for another year.  STARS this pm - more pre-season.  Real schedule starts next week.  Nothing else new that I can remember. Have to start writing new stuff down to remember longer than 12 hrs

Nothing new or interesting

Weather is getting cooler - no 100’s for awhile.  Work is same, riding a couple days a week shorter distances than before, Dust Bunny is still shedding all over the house, (She is standing in the arm of the chair I’m sitting in waiting for more food).  Not long before STARS time.  Had the pacemaker checked FR and have 7 more years of battery left - then who knows 😀

Rain and cooler

Lots of rain the weekend and more thru the middle of the week.  I think it was last TH Dallas had the lowest high temp in history for that day.  It was 77 for a high temp - lowest in history for that day. Getting colder and no more global warming.  Work is the same BS.  Waiting the start of hockey season.

Heat Wave Over???

Well maybe for a couple of days.  Raining now - a little relief for the water bill.  Also 77 degree temp will save some on the electric bill!  Still surviving and SOS in Big R.  Dull and booring.

Ready for winter

More days above 100 probably all week. Setting records daily for high temps.  At least I work inside in the AC.  YEAH!!  Other than heat all normal.

New Week

This week will have temps above 100 all week.  Happy for the AC but hate TXU bills.  Riding my bike but being very careful with the heat etc.  At the rest stops if I can use the restroom I know I’m drinking enuff fluids🤓  Back to work and will have 3 new RPh on the staff needing training.  That is about all that is new

Chilly

Had to turn on the furnace and get out the autumn (was going to say winter but knew that was not believable) clothes.  Been in the 70’s at night and high 80’s low 90’s last week.  This time of the year is not just hot - but as the weather people say “IT’S TEXAS HOT”!!!  Went for my first bike ride this am since March.  Made the 10miles.  There is a guy in the neighborhood that is doing Monday Morning Bike rides.  Made for the retired.  Had fun but not as factor far as my normal rides but back.  Will go back and hopefully increase the mileage.  He took a couple of riders. That finished with the group on for more miles but I thought I had had enuff.  Off to work 3 days this week no time off.

Hot

For those of you complaining about the heat “COME ON DOWN” for the real heat.  99-100’s all week but does cool off to 90 at night. So we can sleep and save electricity on the AC.  Only have to “work” 2 days this week. YEAH!!!  Off today so watching Jerry and Maury - very interesting?

Another week

The canary from MI e-mailed me an article about VA RPh and repetitive motions/positional injuries.  Inknow about that and have tried to avoid them - but tiff to do.  Getting better and one more MD appointment. (Previous one rescheduled by MD). Heat continuing and might be rainy the next 4-5 days.   Nee$ the rain and we will see.  Other than the above SOS-DD. All for this one

HOT

Going to be in the 100’s later on in the week.  Happy the AC is working.  Shoulders are better and have 2 new MD appts in June.  One with rheumatologist and the other to test nerve conduction.  Had nerve conduction at one time at the VA as I had bad computer/ screen placement and had numbness/tingling in the arm when bending my neck. Had Dr Mengele’s assistant do the tests at the VA.  (At least that is what he said kiddingly with his heavy German/Dutch accent).  4 day weekend but then that is normal for me so I guess it is SOS-DD.  All for now untilImcan think up more BS

Back with no new news

SOS-DD.  PT 2x a week for the shoulders, getting better? Still no bike riding, still working, Theater, symphony etc.  Allen Americans in the ECHL playoffs.  Will submit the bill for the DEAD WINGS season to the frozen brain MI people.  Probably payoff in Nov.  He will probably have to take out a loan.  DB is waiting for me to get downstairs and give her the rest for her breakfast.  That is about it

Still older

Still hitting PT 2x a week getting somewhat better.  However, I am now having bi-lateral shoulder pain and have MD appoint TU 4/3 so who knows?  Still working but not riding bike as weather is too iffy on the weekends or have other plans.  Off to Houston area for our yearly THSP meeting where I get my CE for the year for the TX and IN licenses.  Other than all that SOS DD.  All for now

Getting older

Started PT this past week for getting older.  A couple of weeks ago I had lots of trouble tying my right shoe lace.  Headed to MD’s and sent to PT.  Getting better and have take home exercises.  Getting in and out of bed/car takes some planning.  Will be back to semi normal in a couple of weeks according to the PT’s.  Only vouching for physically not mentally.  That’s it

Interesting week

Lots of Theater.  MBS Productions had a 7 Plays in 7 Days so MO,TU,WE,TH and SU was theater.  Each was a new never presented play.  Some really weird and others very entertaining.  On FR attended I Love You, Your Perfect Now Change at Theater 2, I lost count the number of times but probably have stated in the past I saw it 4 times one year with different groups of friends.  Still very enjoyable and I enjoy listening to the audience reactions as I know what is coming.  STARS on SA.
Did the normal work schedule and hopefully  a little rest this week.  I think that is enuff for now

Ho hum

just more of the same.  Work, hockey, sleeping/eating etc.  One of the most unusual things was the DSO last week.  They have done it before.  The Cirque de Solei comes and performs over and around the orchestra.  Lots of spinning, juggling, clowning around, flying over the DSO and lots of fun.  I can’t believe the orchestra can concentrate with all that is going on over and around them.  That’s all for now

Missed Weather - another Week

No sleet, snow or ice on the drive in the city last week.  YEAH!!.  Did get really cold - in the teens!  Did warm up to 70 on SA.  Great temp change but hard to know how to dress.  SOS for now.  This week is STARS TU, TH. Americans WE, SA and DSO on FR so another week not sitting around at night.  OH yes we did not get furloughed and have to work TU,WE, and TH

Another busy week

I need some down time - but then I bring it on myself.  Americans on WE, Black and White Theater on TH, DSO on FR and STARS on SA, dinner with friends (as usual) on SU.  This week is nap time as only hockey (Americans) on MO.  Also work the week.  May have bad weather for MO evening thru TU so get to look forward to driving in the snow/ice YEAH Hopefully I remember how.
