Another week

Last MO my cardiologist ran my butt off on a stress test.  Survived and he said it looked good.  This is the cardiologist who did the Richardson Corporate Challenge bike ride with me and another rider several years ago when I was working at the Richardson hospital.  Have to go back in 6 month for my semi-annual visit.  Some of you readers know at our ages the visits are every 6 months!  Bike riding and biker party yesterday and door prizes I got a new bright yellow jersey.  The cars can see me now. Had some well received rain last week and more projected this week, so saving the water bill.  More next time

Spending $

Had to have some plumbing replaced in the downstairs master bathroom.  The piping was loose but not leaking yet but was getting harder to turn on the water and divert the flow to the shower head.  This lead to wearing the joints.  Had to semi remove some of the wall and did replace it with one plate that was bigger than the previous one.  Done and need to take out a loan for the repair or maybe mortgage the house.  Will try it out in the am before work.  STARS start pre-season tomorrow. Bike riding and it is getting cooler down here.  No rain in Sept so it is dry and water bill getting larger and larger.  Back to normal work tomorrow TU- TH.  Nice having 4 days off each week. I guess that's all for now

Something new in big R

The natives have decided we have a gas shortage in the area.  Topping off tanks, filling up 4-6 gas cans for "safety" so they don't run out.  I filled up last WE on the way home and have avoided the lines and alleged shortages.  While it might be in less supply if no panic no problem.  Will fill up today so I will have a weeks worth to start the week.  Some stations have been out but several apps tell one where to get gas.  In my driving around I can get gas anytime.  OH well!  We have avoided the tons of rain south of here but will get a little this week.  No sprinkler needed. YEAH!  Everything is "normal"? Down here. More later

I'm Back

SOS in big R.  Ride when I can on SA and SU.  Last SU got pretty hot riding but made the 30 mi.  Did not ride yesterday as the Apple group met and learned something.  Rained on SU and lot of rain today.  Is ending.  Have been without AC upstairs since TH but hopefully fixed today.  Found out what fans are for.  Happily the downstairs unit is working so no sleep lost.  Also gone most of the days so not too bad.  Now waiting to get it fixed and pay the bill.   Jerry and Maury are qued to the TV so all is not lost.  That is about for now.

Another week

Don't know if I have mentioned it in the past but I have been attending the Apple Users Group here in Richardson/Dallas for several years.  There are a bunch of computer "nerds" here but have lots of knowledge and very helpful.  Can really get deep however.  Rode SU but not SA.  Saw the storm coming but some took a chance and got wet.  One called her daughter and got a ride home.  Not a fun SA for some but I was home dry and cool.  SU it was hot for the 32 mi ride.  Waiting for STARS season to start.  Have routine MD appointment at1:30 today.  My yearly Medicare well visit.  All for this week and back to work in the am

Back Again

Dust Bunny made another trip to the Vets.  Had to have a tooth pulled - below the gum disease.  No problems and back home.  Beginning to not like the crate sitting in the dinning room.  I do this (as I have done with all the cats I've had) and watch them walk gingerly around the crate.  Dust Bunny has no trouble getting in the crate but getting out at the Vets is an ordeal.  Hot and rainy here SA lots of rain and no riding but SU was nice and got in 32 mi.  Other than that same old stuff in Big R

The animal

Dust Bunny is visiting the DVM Dentist for a teeth cleaning.  2 Monday's in a row at the Vets.  Last week was 6 month check up and everything is ok except for teeth cleaning this week.  She will get in the crate with no trouble but getting out is a major undertaking.  However, when she gets home just walks straight out and looks for food.  Work is normal?, new repeat Stanley Cup champs, bicycle party on SU with Door prizes - got a bell for the bike. Rest of Big R is normal.  All for the week
