Wednesday 1/28

Well there is lots of ice in the area. The TV stations are continually rebradcasting Icy roads, icy roads, icy roads, ETC. ETC. ETC. How many times can you say icy roads. 2 hrs now for NBC channel 5 - I'm not counting anymore. I had a MD appointment at 8:30am today and was in their parking garage at 7:30am. They called at 7:06 (home) and told me the office will be closed. They had warned me about this 1/27 but being in health care and never letting the weather keep me from work (yes even car-pooled, started 2.5 hrs before the start of the day, etc. etc.) I just thought others would not let a little ice keep them at home. WRONG!!! I was looking for a new dermatologist so this just might speed up the procedure. This was only a follow up as the "barnacles" removed in October showed no abnormalities. Took today off as he does no see derm patients other than WE/TH other days are saved for "hair" people - more $$$ I guess.

As stated in previous post I watched Bloody Valentine 3D and liked it. Well the same is not for "Slumdog Millionare" What as waste of time. Theater was full and has lots of publicity thru the awards shows (but what do they know) - Save your money!!

Another Post - What's Going On

Well the AA/Food provider just returned so naturally I had to run downstairs (left the bed previously described) to guess what - Eat. He always give me food (if I show up and I always do) but this time I noticed he had a weird pair of glasses (his normal glasses are weird enough) so I really did notice. They were 3D glasses from "My Bloody Valentine - 3D" movie. He will have to tell you about it as I did not go - but those glasses sure were weird.
I can't believe that someone might think I would run away from food, AC and napping (see previous comment)
DB again

He left the computer on and look at me

It's been a while since pictures of me appeared on this blog. Some of the older people who will look at these cute pictures of me might recognize the chair. I understand this is the Fantom's grandfathers chair. Green upholstery with "matching" ottoman. This chair faces the TV and has 2 pillows with "purr pad" for me to watch the TV and nap. More napping that TV watching however.

What's new in Big R???

Lots of Hockey - Sometimes the Stars can keep a 3 period lead and win and sometimes they fall apart. Best part of the season the Dead Wings have lost to the Stars 2x so that helps the balance sheet with the MI ??. Did buy some tickets to the CHL (hockey) Brahamas. They are a little more physical that the NHL (Yeah). Lots of theater - here are some of the titles 1. Trysts In Toledo 2. A Scull in Connemara 3. and last night Violet. On to see I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change tonight and tomorrow and one more time scheduled (Yes 3 times so far this year - 4 last year). I do not like this play?? but it is one you can take non-theater goers to and they like the performance. I'm an understudy for most of the parts - lost track of how many times I've seen it.
Still riding the bike. Weather here yesterday was 34 in the am and 80 by afternoon - 2 degrees above normal for the low and 26 degrees above normal for the pm temp. Great weather for biking but you never know what to wear.
Last week at Seniormed (A Walgreen Company) 7 technicians and clerical personnel lost their jobs - lack of business currently but adding more. Talked to me about fewer hours but the next 5 weeks are still 30/wk and we'll wait and see. Maybe I could really retire. One of the consultant pharmacists was in the building yesterday and was relating a story of a 75 yr old pharmacist (I still have a few years to go) who said the only retired pharmacist is a dead one. A pharmacist so far has neveer really wanted for a job - thanks goodness.
Maybe I should post more and keep the rambling down.
All for now
