Interesting 4 days

Flew to Atlanta-rented a car-drove to the Monestary.  Checked in the retreat house.  Had interesting time as Br. Cassian became Fr. Cassian.  Dee is now a priest.  Interesting service.  Also got to meet lots of Fr Cassian’s old friends.  Interesting stories and friends.  Judy made me fly and took care of all the transportation.  YEAH and thank you.  Both airports very busy..  Had trouble as most did calling Dee Fr Cassian as opposed to Br  Cassian but became easier as the day passed.  Did learn how to play 3-13 so the MI natives better watch out at Thanksgiving.  Dust Bunny was happy to see me return.

Safe and wet

Lots of rain and wind here in the TX area.  No problems at my place yippee!!   Lots of
downed  trees in Dallas area disrupting traffic etc.  Several thousand without power thru TH.  With the rain I won’t have to run the sprinkler system - again YEAH!!   Called in “sick of work” again so sleeping late and goofing off. ( So what else is new?). Well enuff for now

Still Upright

Attending STARS playoff games.  Series even as of today.  Back here for a game TU and hopefully could win if every thing goes the STARS way.  Probably not but has been a good season.  Not too pessimistic more realistic.  Still working? at least being paid for showing up.  Rained each SA for lots of SA recently so staying home not riding.  The rest of stuff here SOS.

WHEW

Temps from 20 on MO/TU to 70 on FR/SA.-Tuff to take.  Hockey STARS - TU,TH,SA; Americans WE and DSO on FR. Having to miss 2 Americans games FR and SA.  Need something to do and not get bored.  Apple users group on SA so I can see how much I really don’t know about computers.  Work is same - surviving.

Nothing New.

SOS in big R.  Survived the varying temp changes like the rest of you.  Not as bad here but minus number one day and will be 70’s today.  Got some CE Sat with the MSHP so I can keep the license and keep working.  More CE in Apr again here in Dallas area.  Attended a seminar at a retirement “home” last FR.  Kinda like the one Mother and Dad attended.  Not ready yet however - just semi planning ahead.  Free lunch also - saving that $.  Back to work tomorrow and all for now.

YEAH

Back in the + side in the STARS vs Dead Wings “bet”. STARS won SA splitting the games with the Dead Wings (had to say it splitting the series to keep the frozen brain in MI quieter).  STARS have 10 of the next 13 games at home so lots more hockey.  Have a game tonight as that keeps lots of people off the roads/out of bars (at least til later) NY eve.  It is tuff having 5 days off each week instead of the normal 4.  Off to take a nap so I can stay up later tonight.

Hockey

This last week was 6 hockey games. 3 STARS, 3Americans.  Hockeyed out. Now for a rest until NewYears Eve.  Getting to be winter in TX. Temps in the 30-40’s.  Work as usual and nothing new.  Vet had me check Dust Bunny for hypertension.  Fun procedure and she handled it well and no problems.  Vet said Dust Bunny must have thought her owner had lost his marbles-correct diagnosis.
