Whew. After no posts from Sept to 2 in one day - guess nothing to do.  I had saved the silver dimes and quarters when working retail.  As I put the change in the drawer and opened new rolls from the bank - any silver coins I saved (replaced) with the newer coins.  Finally decided to see what they were worth.  Took a roll of dimes and one of quarters ($15.00) and left the coin store with $240.00.  Don’t know rate of return but I was happy.  Trying to save for next Publix trip - I’ll need all the help I can get as being retired.

 Finally woke up after driving from GA/TN.  Driving not too bad.  Had a new function on the new car.  I call it the Judy function.  She does not like driving or having someone drive long distances.  On my way to GA at about 4 hrs a yellow light appeared in the speedometer with the words “time to stop and rest.  I pushed the Rick button to turn it off and kept going.  About 2 hrs later it popped up again and the Rick button fixed it.  Did not occur on the way back to TX.  I was playing with the function that notifies you the car is varying from the lane. Nice function but played with it too much - therefore warning.  Had fun in GA eating pie and ice cream.  TN visit was fun seeing Nolin and Gordon and parents.  Kristen was there a couple of hours SA before heading back to Carmel IN.  Car drives well and now broken in with 4,000 mi.

Still looking at place to move for retirement etc.  Talked to them again since return.  More later.

 Woke up and time for a new post.  Purchased a new car in the last couple of days.  Old one had 166,000 miles, about to wear our???  Did not want to take a chance.  Probably can’t tell much difference without close inspection.  Ford Explorer, gray etc like the last one but has a lot less miles.  Getting used to new controls like the steering wheel and accelerator, brake etc.  Hopefully can put mileage on it in Nov.  Theatre, hockey and symphony are back and first symphony tonight, hockey to follow later on month and Oct.  

 Hanging out in the house watching TV.  Did get hearing aids 08/25 trying to get used to them.  Putting them in is a challenge as well as keeping the in when you take off the masks.  They interact with my phone and being able to understand that (“picnic” errors) has resulted in a couple of repeat visits to the audiologist.  Interesting the background noises I did not realize were there.  There will be more in the future.

 Not too much happening.  No phone (land line) since TU battery at main junction box - no power and will get fixed but service man out could not do it. Contract out.  To day phone is working.  Happy to have mobile phone.  No one called to say it was fixed - the phone just rang.  Must be fixed.   We will see.  I Guess MD appts for the Russell’s.  Mine was only rheumatologist and no knives etc.  everything OK back in 6 months.  Rest of day normal I hope.

 Well it is SU am.  Got up and was able to put both feet on the floor unassisted YEAH.  Retrieved the paper from the yard and started reading.  Alarm sounded and headed to breakfast with some former biking friends ( none are riding presently). Lots of BS and good food.  Back home and finished the paper now this and who knows what else for the rest of SU.  Right now Bar Rescue, NASCAR Raceday and NHRA Drag Racing booring.   Rest of day unknown.

 Trying to learn this and how to sign in.  Changed since last posts 2 years ago.  But here I am.  Just FYI and maybe no interest but - my car was in the shop for 2 weeks apporox. Because the AC was not working.  One cannot or will not drive in Dallas in the summer without AC.  Parts hard to get and the best part the dealership doing the work gave me a new compact Ford to drive while the car was getting fixed.  Only caution was no wrecks and bring it back with full gas tank.  Both done and picked up the car yesterday and so far so good.  Knee is getting better still a little sore.  Time to attend web type a Apple meeting.  So enuff now
